The Master Series Telecaster style vintage tele bridge solves the common intonation problems without changing that classic tele-tone. We use the original Fender 52 reissue ferrous bridge-plate which enhances the pickups magnetic field. The bottom edge is carved out about an inch,(so your fingers wont catch while finger-picking). Two small holes are drilled at each corner of the front of the bridge, so the bridge can be screwed down fully "flush" with the body for better sustain. Then the Brass saddles are drilled and tapped at calculated angles for much improved intonation. We use over-size screws and heavy-duty springs for better stability. 508. What is the difference between a standard Fender Telecaster ferrous bridge plate and the stainless steel unit used on the Danny Gattons signature Tele?

Using single-coil pickups in a ferrous bridge plate will expand the magnetic field from the pickup, giving the guitar a unique, classic sound. Using the same pickup in the stainless steel plate will prevent the magnetic field from expanding, which gives the pickup a brighter, clearer tone. Using the Joe Barden-style or any type of aftermarket rail pickup will not work as well when usig the traditional ferrous plate, because the plate attracts two opposite magnetic fields (North magnetic field and South magnetic field) and the combination interferes with the quality and efficiency of the pickup. Rail-type pickups work better using nonmagnetic stainless steel or brass plate. I don't like using brass for a Telecaster bridge plate because it changes the tone. Check the material of the plate, since they are usually nickel, chrome, or gold-plated. For a traditional Telecaster tone, make sure the plate is ferrous (a magnet will stick to it).
